• So be it

    If it is what it takes to be oneself, unlike,
    If Faustus’ end awaits for the enlightened eyes
    Of the self who has learned through the pain in their bones
    How despised are the ones to the use ill-fitting;

    If it is what it takes to speak in one’s own name
    When the I comes from a mind unable to fit in
    Because the winds and the sky gave them way too large wings;

    If it is what it takes to claim respect and peace
    For the ones made too odd for conventional fates,

    Then let the bounds of smiles go, turn into pieces,
    And let the dreaming hearts close their door to the real,
    And let the familiar become unfamiliar,
    Then let the self alone pave the road throughout life.

    If it is what it takes to be true and be free,
    So let the iron burn but make the self stronger,
    So let the lonely soul claim the pain… Let it be…
